TERRIER WORK and the question our police should be asking the hunt, "Why the need for these sinister people during a trail hunt? Terrier men are contracted by hunts to find and flush out foxes for the hunt but the ban prohibits terrier men from participating during a trail hunt - so why are they still being allowed to accompany a hunt almost sixteen yrs after the ban was brought into force? Terrier work is the most sadistic side of fox hunting which is no doubt why the hunting Association now refers to terrier men as countrymen. A terrier man's job is ensure there are enough foxes for the hunt by flushing foxes into the path of hounds. it is also in their remit to ensure fox earths and badger setts are blocked to prevent a fox from escaping underground. Even game keepers cannot use both a dog and a spade - they can use one or the other but not both.
